Project Monster Part 3 - A new exhaust and Stage 2+ Code

So onto part 3 of our project, which includes

• Installation of Blue Flame resonated turbo back exhaust with 100 Cell Sports Cat
  


• Upgrade to Revo Stage 2+ code
  


• Setting up on our Dyno

So, first things first the exhaust, as expected from Blue Flame its extremely well made, and a perfect fitment (we've installed many of these now and always impressed with them). The 3" system looks the part (see pics) and sounds even better! Its been incredibly well designed allowing for a great exhaust note when on WOT yet cruises at 70mph without any boom / drone whatsoever. The oval tip looks almost OEM on the rear and its all very well finished.

So that done, its onto Revo Stage 2+ code which was then flashed and the car strapped onto our Dyno Dynamics dyno for its first run. Straight away it hit 335bhp at flywheel. After setting up fueling, using the dynos wideband lambda probe as a guide, we then tweaked igntion timing and boost, logging with VCDS as we went.

Final figure of 352.8bhp at flywheel - over 100bhp up on standard. Torque is showing at just under 300lb/ft2.

The car is now blisteringly fast when on wide open throttle, with the engine literally racing through the rev range in each gear and an almost endless supply of power from around 2200rpm right up to the redline.

Next step.....we're looking at suspension and handling, then its back to performance - with a new Turbo charger, intercooler, uprated injectors and Revo Stage 4.....watch this space!
